Belarus
The republic is Belarus is a beautiful country situated on the watershed of the Baltic and Black seas.  Its is full of charm and history and since it is not yet widely discussed it's almost undiscovered.  It prides itself on been at the heart of Europe and still clings to the ideals of Soviet communism.  Neglected by the international community it has remained free of the trappings of Western materialism and retains an intensely strong identity.  If you are looking for an adventure that you will never forget, then Belarus is the place for you.

Invitations

For citizens of European Union states (and some other countries) who are applying for business or private visas with a validity of up to 30 days, an invitation is no longer required - you only need to supply the name and address of your host. However, the Consulate may ask to see further evidence of your intended activities in Belarus, such as a letter from your host, so you cannot assume that you will automatically be granted a visa. For tourist visas, paperwork from Belarus is always required.

Business visa

If it is required, a faxed letter from your Belarusian hosts is acceptable.

Private visa

If required, invitations for Private visas are obtained from a local office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Tourist Visa

If you book accommodation, a faxed confirmation from the Belarusian hotel or tour operator is normally sufficient, but you may be required to obtain the original paperwork from Belarus.

Transit visa

Normally issued without any supporting paperwork, but if, for example, you are visiting Russia after Belarus, it is advisable to obtain the Russian visa first. Transit visas are valid for 48 hours for each entry.
