Ask us for a quote – we may or may not beat online booking. We do have special rates with some airlines only applicable when you book a package with accommodation. These rates are not available online as flights only.
We do also have some other advantages over online booking:
- we can hold provisional bookings while you are obtaining your visa, or awaiting hotel or other arrangements to be confirmed
- we know all the routes and all the fares
- we know how busy dates and routes are – and whether prices are likely to go up or down
- we might be able to suggest something - a cheap business class deal, for example
RUSSIAN VISAS
We can obtain your visa for you. The requirements and costs of obtaining a tourist visa for a UK passport-holder are set out below. Other nationalities, or UK citizens seeking a different type of visa should visit our sister website: www.scottsvisas.co.uk to find all the necessary information.
If you are doing something unusual, such as taking a car or motorbike into Russia, please contact us as we are able to advise on the necessary requirements.

The application form
This is quite detailed. It has to be filled in online, printed and signed.
Click at the bottom of this page for the form, but before doing so please read the following instructions:
Before starting, you will need to have to hand: your passport details; the details of any universities or other higher education establishments you have ever attended; the name and reference number of the Russian organisation which issued your Tourist Confirmation and Voucher (invitation); (you may want to contact us first if you are not sure where to look on the paperwork); the name of your travel insurance provider, a list of all countries you have visited in the last 10 years (the best way to address this is to go through all the stamps/visas in your passport).
After clicking through to the form below, please click agree on the first screen and continue, and the same on the second one. Then click Create Online Visa Application. On the next page, there are five questions, please answer
London
In person
Collect in person
Urgent for the next day service or Normal for the one week service.
Russia@scottsvisas.co.uk
On the next page, please select Tourist as the type of passport. For purpose of visit, select Tourist, unless you have a "Tourism with a purpose" invitation, in which case select Special Purpose Tourism. Also select Single or Double according to your invitation. The dates of travel should also match your invitation.

After finishing entering the required information, choose yes or no as to whether you want to enter another application and continue. On the next screen, click "Agree" and continue. On the next screen, it is advisable to make a note of the "Web Reference No". On the next screen, choose "download/print" and the same on the one after that.
If you have any problems with the form, or your printer runs out of ink, or anything else, please contact us as everything is solvable.
Click here for the application form (opens in a separate window - you can still follow these instructions)
OTHER SERVICES
We try to meet any request for extra services. If your needs are not listed below, please ask us.
Trains
We can book trains and have the tickets delivered to your hotel. Short trips can be organised locally, but longer journeys such as Moscow-St Petersburg need to be booked at the same time as your accommodation as these trains do get fully-booked.
We can also arrange tickets for the Trans-Siberian, including through Mongolia if required.
Transfers
First-time visitors to Russia might find it advisable to book a taxi transfer from airport to hotel. There is a good train service from Moscow Domodedovo. St Petersburg airport is ill-served by public transport (no Metro) and a taxi transfer is the easiest method. Transfers can also be booked to and from railway stations.
Internal Flights
Most internal flights can now be booked and ticketed from our London office, but tickets for some airlines need to be bought locally by our representatives.
Event and location tickets
We can arrange tickets for any event or sight. We can request tickets for shows such as the Bolshoi Ballet, or sporting events at the same time as booking your accommodation so that you know you will manage to do everything you wish to do before committing to anything.
Local Rep
You will be able to call upon services of our local reps in the major cities.
Guides
Some people find it worthwhile to use a guide for places such as the Hermitage in St Petersburg, or to explain the intricacies of the Kremlin. Guides can be booked by the hour and by languages spoken. We can also arrange to hire a car and driver if required.
Guided Tours/Excursions
We can arrange side-trips, such as the Golden Ring outside Moscow, either as part of a group (cheaper) or individually.

Hi Vivian And Anastasia,
I’d just like to confirm that my visa has arrived , as promised.
Thanks for all your help – you’ve been great.
As I’ve said before, the fact that you were open Saturday and Sunday [for visas only] allowed me to get everything together in good time. Without your help, I would have been flying blind into the Russian embassy on Tuesday, with a high chance of rejection. Additionally, I would have arrived after the embassy had closed for the day – until Vivien told me I thought it was open during normal office hours!
So, thanks again. You can use me as a reference.
Best Regards
Howard

Hi,
I am planning to travel to take the Trans Siberian railway from Moscow to Beijing this March with two friends. I was wondering what help you could offer with planning this. The current plan is to leave Moscow on the 29th and travel to Beijing as quickly as possible, but including two stops, one at Lake Baikal and one at Ulan Batur. I don't know how this might work - we would like time to look around, though. I imagine we would stay for one night at each, but if it were possible to arrive in the morning and leave in the evening at either stop, this too might work. Ideally we would arrive in Beijing on the 5th April. I don't know how feasible this is.
Thank you,
|
