Tajikistan Airlines fly Munich-Istanbul-Dushanbe once a week, as well as flying from Dushanbe to Mosow, and other destinations. However, there is no way of purchasing tickets for these flights in the UK - payment can only be made direct to the airline's representatives in the relevant country.
Tajikistan Airlines is not a member of IATA and its maintenance procedures cannot be verified. There is also a flight from Samara in Russia to Dushanbe, for which tickets can be issued in the UK. Since there is no direct flight from the UK to Samara, this is not a particularly convenient route.
Many people travel overland from Tashkent to Dushanbe, though you should be aware of Foreign Office advice on travel to border regions. In the UK, visas for Tajikistan are only issued by the Russian Consulate in London. An invitation in the form of a telex from the Tajik Foreign Ministry is required. The nearest diplomatic representation of Tajikistan is in Germany, where the visas may be easier to obtain. Travel to Tajikistan is only for the traveller experienced in this region.
